A bowl of Oatmeal in the morning (or anytime) is tasty and will keep you satisfied for several hours.
Extra Prep Time: Can be made without pre-soaking, but consistency is smoother if soaked for eight to twelve hours

- Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup steel-cut oats
- 1 1/2 tablespoons raisins
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon, plus a sprinkle as a garnish when serving
- 3/4 cup water
- apple or pear, chopped but not peeled or cored
- banana and/or berries, fruit slices such as peach, nectarine, plum

Step 1
1. Soak oats, raisins and cinnamon in the water for eight to twelve hours in a covered bowl (or in the blender) left on the counter.
2. Blend the soaked ingredients and the apple or pear.
