Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb ditali pasta
  • 1 can cannellini beans
  • 1 can red kidney beans
  • 3 (8oz) cans tomato sauce
  • 1 diced onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

1. In a large Dutch oven, pour uncooked pasta, both cans of drained beans, the sauce and the diced onion. Add water to desired consistency (about 24oz).

2. Place the pot over a low flame. As soon as it starts to come to a low boil. cover the pot and cook for 15 mins.

3. When it's almost done, heat up a generous amount of olive oil in a little frying pan. When oil is hot, add the garlic powder and let it get a nutty brown color. Turn off the heat and add the oil and garlic powder mixture to the pasta pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy!
