Sauteed Mushrooms

Ingredients

  • 1 lb mushrooms, sliced
  • 1-2 Tbsp butter or olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or ground
  • 1 Tbsp worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tsp anchovy paste
  • 1/4 cup cooking wine
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Step 1

Heat butter or olive oil in skillet, over medium heat. Add the garlic and the anchovy paste and cook for about 1 minute. Add the mushrooms and stir. Add the worcertershire sauce and stir. Let mushrooms cook for another minute or two. Add the cooking wine and cook until the liquid is reduced. Add salt and pepper to taste (taste your mushrooms first before adding salt, as the anchovy paste has salt in it) Serve immediately.
