Ingredients

    env. plain gelatin

  • 1

    c. crushed pineapple

  • 1

    cup sugar

  • 1/2

    tsp salt

  • 1

    tbsp. lemon juice

  • 3

    env. Dream Whip

  • 1

    large angel food cake

Directions

Dissolve gelatin in 4 tbsp. cold water. Add 1 cup boiling water, pineapple with juice, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well, then put in refrigerator to cool. When partly jelled, whip 2 packages Dream Whip until stiff and fold into jelled mixture. Pour mixture in bowl and put in refrigerator overnight or until set. Turn this out onto a large plate and ice it with the third package of whipped Dream Whip. Keep refrigerated. Variations: After icing the cake, sprinkle with coconut and decorate with maraschino cherries.
