Step 1
Skin chicken pieces of your choice. Salt each piece and place in a ziplock bag. Pour buttermilk over chicken and refrigerate for several hours to overnight. Place some flour in a pie plate. Salt and pepper flour to taste. Dredge chicken in flour. Fry in several inches of crisco oil on each side or until juices run clear. Oil should be about 350 degrees. An electric skillet works well.
*Discard used buttermilk.
