Ingredients

  • Salad:
  • 4 cups mixed field greens
  • 2 green onions
  • 4 oz blue cheese crumbled
  • 1 granny smith - chopped
  • 1/4 c (more!) chopped spicy pecans
  • Brianna's blush wine vinaigrette
  • Spicy Pecans:
  • 2 lg egg whites
  • 1 1/2 t salt
  • 3/4 c sugar
  • 2 t worcestershire sauce
  • 2 T hungarian paprika
  • 1 1/2 t cayenne
  • 4 1/2 c pecan halves
  • 6 T unsalted butter - melted & cooled

Preparation

Step 1

Toss greens, onions, blue cheese, apple and pecans. Add dressing, tossing to coat.

Pecans:
Preheat oven to 325. Beat egg whites and salt until foamy. Add sugar, worcestershire, paprika and cayenne. Fold in pecans and melted butter. Spread evenly on a baking sheet. Bake 30 to 40 minutes stirring every 10 min. Remove and cool. Store in airtight container.
