Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 medium carrots
- 2 medium celery stalks
- 1 medium sized onion
- 1 Tbsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp ground sage
- 1 Tbsp thyme
- Water

Preparation
Step 1
Rinse the chicken and remove giblets.
2. Mix salt, pepper, sage and thyme and rub all
over the chicken.
3. Chop all the vegetables
4. Place the chicken in the slow-cooker with
vegetables, and pour in enough water to fill
the bottom of the slow-cooker to about an
inch.
5. Cook for 6 hours.
6. Feel free to retain the liquid stock for future
use.
Served with:
• 4 Baked potatoes (1/4 of 10 lb bag)
• Green beans
