Preparation
Step 1
1. Prepare the starter by pouring one tablespoon of luke warm water over yeast and sugar, stirring to dissolve. Sift the flour, add salt, starter, water and vinegar. Knead the dough for 5 to 10 minutes using a wooden spoon. Cover with cling film and set aside for one hour to let the dough rise.
2. Re-knead the dough over floury working surface. Divide into four equal parts. Roll each one into 20 cm long cylinder, cut into 6, and form a ball from each cut. Arrange them over paper lined baking pan, and let them raise again, about 30 minutes.
3. Bake for about 8-9 minutes in the oven preheated to 250°C using turbo mode and fans, if any. If not, buns should be baked for about 12 minutes. Baked buns should stay pretty light in color. Melt the butter, add salt and garlic, then generously glaze hot buns using a brush.
