Ingredients
- Cake:
- This no-egg brownie-like cake is sure to be your family's favorite. It is stirred up in just one large mixing bowl.
- 3 c. flour
- 2 c. sugar
- 6 Tb. cocoa
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. soda
- 2 Tb. vinegar
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 c. butter, melted
- 2 c. cold water
- Creamy Chocolate Frosting:
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 6 Tb. milk
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1 1/2 c. chocolate chips

Step 1
FOR THE CAKE: In a large mixing bowl, mix together the dry ingredients; make a well in the middle. Combine vinegar, vanilla, and butter; add to dry ingredients. Mix well. Add 2 cups cold water and beat well. Pour into ungreased 9x13" pan or two 9" round pans. Bake in a 350 degree oven 30 minutes for large pan; 20 minutes for layers. Top with Creamy Chocolate Frosting.
FOR THE CREAMY CHOCOLATE FROSTING: In a heavy saucepan, combine first 4 ingredients and bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in chocolate chips. Stir until all the chips are melted. Cool until spreadable. Frost cake.
