Ingredients
- 2 T EVOO
- 12 oz pkg cooked chorizo sausage, sliced 1 in thick
- 1 med yellow onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 6 c low sodium chicken broth
- 4 c sweet potatoes, peeled & cut into 1/2 in cubes (about 2 med sweet potatoes)
- 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
- 3/4 t kosher salt
- 1/2 lb turnip greens, roughly chopped

Preparation
Step 1
In lg Dutch oven, heat oil over med high heat. Add chorizo; cook, stirring occasionally until browned, about 8 min. Remove using slotted spoon & let drain on paper towels reserving drippings in pan.
Add onion; cook stirring occasionally until tender, about 3 min. Add garlic; cook until fragrant, about 1 min. Add broth, sweet potatoes, tomatoes & salt; bring to boil. Reduce heat to med low; cover & simmer until potatoes are tender, about 20 min. Add chorizo & turnip greens; cook until greens are wilted, about 5 min,
