Ingredients
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
- 1 (12 oz.) pkg. semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tsp. vanilla

Step 1
Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. In a large bowl, beat egg whites, salt, and cream of tartar at high speed with an electric mixer until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar, 1 Tb. at a time, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in pecans, chocolate chips, and vanilla. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets. Bake for 25 minutes. Let cool on on pans for 2 minutes. Remove from pans, and cool completely on wire racks.
