Ingredients

  • ● 1 lb. ground beef
  • ● 3/4 tsp salt
  • ● 1/2 tsp pepper
  • ● 1/2 tsp ginger
  • ● 2 tbsp. oil
  • ● 1 green pepper; diced
  • ● 1 onion; chopped
  • ● 1 carrot; grated
  • ● 2 tbsp. vinegar
  • ● 2 tbsp. brown sugar
  • ● 1 tsp soy sauce
  • ● 1 tsp dry sherry
  • ● 1 tsp cornstarch
  • ● 1/2 chicken or beef broth

Preparation

Step 1

1. Blend together beef, salt, pepper, and ginger
2. Shape into 1” meatballs
3. Heat oil in skillet
4. Brown meatballs on all sides
5. Add remaining ingredients
6. Cook over moderate heat until mixture thickens
7. Stir constantly while cooking
8. Cook about 5 minutes
