Ingredients
- 2 Cans tart canned sour cherries or fruit of your choice*
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 stick (4 oz.) Butter
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. Sugar
- 1 c. Flour
- 1 1/2 teasp. Baking Powder
- 1/2 teasp. Salt
- 3/4 c. Milk
- *Substitute 2 pints fresh blueberries or peaches.

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 400. Place butter in 9x13 glass or ceramic oven proof dish. Place in oven and allow to melt. Bring fruit and sugar to a boil (if using fruit in heavy syrup delete sugar). Mix batter and pour over hot butter in baking dish. Pour hot fruit over batter and bake for 35 to 45 minutes, till crust rises to top and is nicely browned. Serve warm with ice cream.
