Ingredients
- Spice Mixture:
- 1/2 c. unsalted butter
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. each ground cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and cloves
- For each serving:
- 1 c. apple cider
- 1 oz. dark rum, opt.
- 1 cinnamon stick, for garnish

Step 1
Spice Mixture: Cream butter and brown sugar in a small bowl. Blend in spices. Transfer to a jar. Cover and refrigerate til ready to use (keeps indefinitely.)
For each serving: Place a Tb. of the spice mixture in a 10 oz. clear glass heat-proof mug. Heat the cider until it is very hot. Pour the rum (is using), then the hot cider into the mug. Garnish with the cinnamon stick.
