  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. cocoa
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 5 c. water
  • 1 (12 oz.) can evaporated milk
  • 2 c. milk
  • sweetened whipped cream
  • crushed peppermint candy

Step 1

Combine first 3 ingredients in a large Dutch oven; stir well. Gradually stir in water; bring to a boil. Add evaporated milk and milk; cook until thoroughly heated, stirring occasionally. Pour into mugs. Top each serving with whipped cream and sprinkle with crushed candy.
