Ingredients
- 6 T butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 c flour
- 3 c chicken broth
- 2 c raw wild rice, cooked
- 1 c minced ham
- 1/2 c finely chopped carrots
- 1/2 t salt
- 1/4 c slivered almonds
- 1 c half and half
- 1/2 c dry white wine

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter in soup pot and saute onion until tender. Blend flour, gradually add broth. Cook, sitrring constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Stir in cooked rice, ham, carrots, almonds and salt. Simmer about 5 minutes. Blend in half and half and wine. Heat to serving temperature. Do not boil.
