Ingredients
- 1 c flour
- 1/2 t baking powder
- one eighth t baking soda
- 1/2 t salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- one third c margarine
- 1 c brown sugar
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 c chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
Melt shortening in sauce pan, remove from heat. Mix in sugar. Cool. Stir in egg and vanilla. Add flour mixture, a small amount at a time, mixing well. Spread in greased 9x9 pan. Sprinkle chocolate chips over.
Bake at 350 for 20-25 minutes.
