Ingredients
- 5 ripe avocados
- 2 Tb. finely chopped red onion
- 2 Tb. fresh lime juice
- 1/2 medium jalapeno pepper, seeded and chopped
- 1 garlic clove, pressed
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- Tortilla Chips

Preparation
Step 1
Cut avocados in half. Scoop pulp into a bowl, and mash with a potato masher or fork until slightly chunky. Stir in chopped onion, lime juice, and next 3 ingredients. Place plastic wrap directly onto surface of mixture and let stand at room temperature 30 minutes. Serve with tortilla chips.
Cilantro Guacamole: Increase lime juice to 3 Tb. Prepare recipe as directed, stirring in 3 Tb. chopped fresh cilantro.
