Ingredients

  • 5 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon lemon extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 7-oz bottle lemon-lime drink
  • 3 cups cake flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup (2 sticks) butter
  • 1/2 cup shortening

Step 1

Cream butter, shortening and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each. Add flour alternately with drink. Add extracts.

Bake in greased and floured tube pan at 300 degrees F for about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool in pan.
