Ingredients

  • Beat together:
  • 1 Stick Oleo, melted
  • 1 C. Water
  • 3 T. Cocoa
  • 2 C. Flour
  • 2 C. Sugar
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • Add 2 eggs and 1/2 C. Buttermilk or sour milk (1 T. Vinegar added to 1/2 C Milk) Bake in jellyroll pan for 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
  • Filling:
  • 1 C Sugar
  • 1 C. Crisco
  • 1/2 C Milk
  • 1 T Water
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • Beat for 5 minutes and add 1 C. Powdered Sugar. Spreat on colled cake.
  • Frosting:
  • 1 1/2 C Sugar
  • 9 T Oleo
  • 9 T. Milk
  • Boil 1 minute and add 2 1/4 C Choc Chips. Beat until thick. Frost Cake. Cut when cool.
  • These bars freeze well.
