Ingredients

  • 1-3/4 * 1-3/4 cups apple juice
  • 1 * 1 7-ounce package mixed dried fruit bits
  • 1/3 * 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 * 3 inches stick cinnamon or 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 2 * 2 medium pears, cored and chopped
  • 5 * 5 cups water (or 2-1/2 cups water and 2-1/2 cups milk)
  • 1/2 * 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 * 3 cups quick-cooking oats
  • 2 * 2 6-ounces containers vanilla yogurt
  • 1 * 1 cup granola

Preparation

Step 1

In saucepan combine juice, fruit bits, sugar, and cinnamon. Bring to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, 20 minutes. Add pears. Cook, covered, 10 minutes. Cool; remove cinnamon stick. Drain, discard liquid. In saucepan bring water and salt to boiling. Add oats. Reduce heat to medium; cook about 1 minute, stirring occasionally. To serve, top with fruit mixture, yogurt, and granola. Makes 8 servings.
