Ingredients
- Curry Spread:
- 8 slices oatmeal bread, lightly toasted
- 12 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
- 1/4 c. raisins
- 1/4 c. cashew nuts, coarsely chopped
- 2 large tomatoes, sliced
- lettuce leaves
- 2 Tb. mayonnaise or salad dressing
- 2 Tb. sour cream
- 1 Tb. chutney
- 1 tsp. curry powder
- 1/2 tsp. grated orange rind
- pinch ground ginger
- pinch ground cumin

Preparation
Step 1
Coat one side of each bread slice with Curry Spread. Sprinkle bacon, raisins, and nuts evenly on 4 slices; top each with tomato slices and a lettuce leaf. Cover with remaining 4 bread slices.
For Curry Spread: Combine all ingredients; cover and chill. Yield: 1/3 cup.
