Brandied Cranberries (made for Thanksgiving)

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg. (12 oz) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup brandy (or enough to fill the quart jar)
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 3 Tbsp. grated orange peel

Step 1

Fill a quart jar full of the cranberries and pour in enough brandy to fill the jar. Let stand for 48 hours and drain.

Pour cranberries, orange juice and orange peel in large pot and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, stir occasionally, and cook about 15 minutes or until cranberries pop.

Pour into jars, wipe rims and screw on lids.

Process in boiling water bath for at lease 10 minutes.
