Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 TBL fresh lime juice
  • 1 tBL olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, pressed
  • 1 tsp hot chili paste (such as
  • sambal oelek (available in Asian
  • food section)
  • 1/2 tsp grated peeled fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1 1/2 LB flank steak

Step 1


whisk all ingredients except flank steak in 12X9X2" baking dish
add steak
turn to coat
cover & let marinate at room temp 2 hrs, turning occasionally

alternatively, cover & chill at least 4 HRs & up to 1 day
bring to room temp. before grilling

Prepare barbecue (high heat)
grill steak w/ some marinade still clinging until cooked to desired
doneness, abt 4 min. per side for rare

thinly slice steak against grain
transfer to platter
drizzle w/ some of remaining dressing
