Pink Party Cake

Ingredients
- 1 package strawberry cake mix
- 1 1/4 cups strawberry nectar
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp. Almond extract
- 2 drops red food coloring
- 1 bar (4 oz.) white baking bar, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. whipping cream
- 1 1/2 cans (12 oz. each) whipped fluffy white frosting
- 1 cup pink candy coating*

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray two 8-inch round cake pans with non-stick spray and set aside.
2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, strawberry nectar, oil, eggs, almond extract, and red food coloring; beat with an electric mixer on low speed for 30 seconds. Scrape down sides of bowl and beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Pour batter into prepared cake pans.
3. Bake in preheated oven for 28 to 32 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in centers comes out clean. Cool cakes in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove cake layers form pans; cool completly on wire racks.
4. For frosting, place chopped white baking bar in a medium bowl; set aside. In a small microwave-safe bowl, microwave cream on high for 30 seconds. Pour overbaking bar and stir until smooth. Stir in frosting. Place a cake layer on a serving plate. Spread with some of the frosting and top with remaining cake layer. Frost cake with the remaining frosting.
5. Line a 5 1/2 inch glass bowl with forl and set aside. Place candy coating in a small microwave-safe bowl; microwave on medium setting for 1 1/2 minutes; stirring every 30 seconds. Pour melted candy coating into foil-lined bowl and chill in refrigerator about 20 minutes or until thawed.
6. Lift candy coating from bowl and peel off foil. Trun candy coating over and pull a vegetable peeler along outside edge to make large curls. Arrange pink curls on top of frosted cake.
*Note: Candy coating is available at cake decorating supply stores. If you can't find it, substitute the same amount of chopped vanilla bark. Melt as directed: stir in 1 or 2 drops of red food coloring to make the bark pink. Continue as directed.
