Ingredients
- 1-1/2 lbs 80-20 ground beef
- 1/2 chopped onion
- 1 can kidney beans
- 2 T of flour
- 1 T chili powder
- 1 T black pepper
- 2 t salt
- 1 T ketchup

Preparation
Step 1
Brown 1-1/2 lbs 80-20 ground beef with 1/2 chopped onion--do not drain
add 1 can kidney beans drained
cook on medium-low heat stirring often until mixture starts to stick to bottom of pan
add 2 T of flour
1 T chili powder
1 T black pepper
2 t salt
1 T ketchup--I omit
stir to incorporate and cook flour
cover mixture with 2" water
simmer until desired thickness stirring often ( cocktail time)
add 1 T chili powder and adjust seasonings ( usually more pepper-old rule when you stir you should see pepper on side of pot)
cook 10 minutes- remove from heat
