Ingredients

  • 3/4 c. butter
  • 10 oz bittersweet chocolate chips
  • 3/4 c. plus 2 tablespoons of flour
  • 1/4 c. cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. brown sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1/2 c. plus 1/4c. sugar
  • 2- 8oz pkgs cream cheese
  • 1/2 c. sour cream
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1- 6oz pkg blackberries

Preparation

Step 1

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Spray an 8 inch square baking pan.

Brownie Batter:
In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and 7oz of the chocolate chips. In a medium bowl, sift together 3/4c. flour, cocoa and the salt.

In a large bowl, whisk the brown sugar, 3 eggs and 1/2 c. sugar. Add the flour mixture and the remaining 1/2c. chips, mix to combine. Fold in the melted chocolate mixture.

Cheesecake Batter:
With a mixer, beat the cream cheese, sour cream, remaining 1/4c. sugar and 2 tablespoons of flour in a large bowl until smooth. Add the vanilla and remaining 2 eggs, mix to combine.

Spread half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan. Spoon half of the cheesecake mixture over top. Top with the remaining brownie mixture.

Crush the blackberries and swirl through the remaining cheesecake batter. Spread the blackberry cheesecake mixture over top of the brownie layer. Bake until the top is just set. About 60-70 minutes.
