Ingredients
- vegetable oil
- 3 lbs ground beef or turkey
- 3 large yellow onions, chopped
- 1 jalapeno chili
- 1/2 cup chili powder
- 2 tablespoons ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon ground oregano
- 2 teaspoons ground coriander
- 1 bottle of lager beer
- 2 1/2 cups beef or chicken broth
- 1 can crushed tomatoes
- 1 can kidney beans
- 1 can pinto beans
- 3 tablespoons cornmeal
- salt
- pepper

Preparation
Step 1
add a little oil to skillet and brown meat, when cooked remove from skillet and set aside
add more oil and sauté onions till softened
add jalapeno, chili powder, cumin, oregano and coriander
stir until well combined
add cooked meat, beer and stock
stir in tomatoes and bring to a simmer
reduce heat, cover and simmer for about an hour
add kidney and pinto beans, cornmeal and simmer until chili is thick
season with salt and peper
serve with jalapeno corn bread, sour cream and grated cheddar cheese
