Ingredients

  • 8

    oz. lasagna noodles

  • 1/4

    c. butter or margarine

  • 1/3

    c. flour

  • 1

    T. minced onion

  • 1/8

    t. garlic powder

  • 2

    c. chicken broth

  • 1

    c. milk

  • 1/2

    c. Parmesan cheese

  • 1

    3 oz. can mushrooms, drained

  • 1

    10 oz. pkg. frozen cut asparagus (I use frozen peas because of a

  • finicky husband!)

  • 2

    cups cubed cooked chicken

  • 1

    6 oz. pkg. mozzarella cheese

  • 1

    6 oz. pkg. thinly sliced ham

  • 1/2

    c. Parmesan cheese

Directions

Cook noodles according to package directions, drain. In saucepan melt the butter, blend in flour, onion, garlic powder and 1/8 t. pepper. Add chicken broth and milk; cook and stir till bubbly. Stir in the first 1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese and mushrooms. In a 9 X 13 X 2 inch baking dish layer half of the noodles, all the asparagus (or peas), chicken and mozzarella. Pour 1/3 of the milk mixture over. Top with ham, remaining noodles, remaining milk mixture and sprinkle with the other 1/2 c. Parmesan cheese. Bake in a 350' oven for 35 minutes or until heated. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting. Makes 8 large servings.
