Preparation

Step 1

Today, peanut butter has become a favorite spread around the world, most of it exported from the USA. It’s no small wonder that peanuts are such a favorite food. It is full of nutrition, especially if there is no sugar or other similar ingredients added.

For our recipe today you will need crackers and a lot of peanut butter ingredients among other things. This recipe stacks a peanut butter coating on top of a peanut butter cracker-based filling. You will only need a microwave for the coating, and once you have poured it on to the cracker crumbs, simply chill the blend for about an hour. Then slice the result into generous bars and serve. These tasty treats have the creamy texture of the inside of Reese’s peanut butter cups.

This is a great recipe to make with the kids. Aspiring young bakers can even try to make this recipe all on their own, with little or no oversight. It is made in a bowl without the use of the oven and only some use of the microwave. Very little children can help by counting out and crushing crackers or tasting the peanut butter to ensure it is fresh and delicious. However your kids help out you can be sure they will certainly provide their expert input on the result. You can let them help themselves, too, knowing that a key ingredient, peanut butter, is helping them and their heart grow strong and healthy. This snack can be served at lunch or dinner or popped into school lunches if peanut products are allowed. Be sure to check since allergies to legumes are a common problem.
