Best Ever Taco Seasoning Mix

Make your own taco seasoining mix and leave the packaged stuff on the shelf. Recipe can be miltipled. Seasons 1 pound ground beef.

Ingredients

• 1 Tablespoon chili powder
• 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder or granulated
• 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
• 1/4 teaspoon cayenne
• 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
• 1/2 teaspoon paprika
• 2 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon coarse salt

Preparation

Step 1

Mix together and store in airtight container.

I make one similar to yours but I make mine salt free and add a tablespoon of cornstarch, thanks for posting.

I've been hearing about this for years, and don't know why I've never hit on it. Saving and will be making up a big ol' batch.

That's exactly how I do mine, but I add about a tablespoon of flour for thickness.

Used this tonight and it was fantastic! Thank you so much!!!! Way better than the store bought stuff :-) Oh, and I just salted the raw meet (I used pork actually) and I didn't even need the salt :)

I have been making a similar one for years and I leave out the salt and you would never know, so much cheaper and healthier than the packaged kind.

Awesome. I did add about 1.5T corn starch to the mix, and it thickened up into a great sauce for the ground beef I used.

I have a similar blend that I use except I don't use paprika and I add cilantro.

I agree that this is soooo much better than using the packaged stuff!

I don't know why I haven't commented on this before but I've been making this for over a year and it is incredibly so much better than the packet stuff....And I have all the ingredients on my spice shelf.

Coarse salt? I used kosher salt.
