Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 Tbsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp soda
- 3/4 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cloves
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3/4 cup butter/margarine, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp water
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 Tbsp sugar

Preparation
Step 1
Heat oven to 350
Sift together the flour, ginger, soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt.
Cream the butter and sugar together until creamy.
Beat in the egg. Add flour mixture.
Stir in the water and molasses.
Drop on to cookie sheet and sprinkle with the 2 Tbsp sugar.
Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
