Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 4 cups sifted powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 or 4 tablespoons hot water
  • 1/4 cup milk

Step 1

Heat butter to golden brown, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, cool slightly and blend in sugar, vanilla and milk. Add hot water and stir until cool and of the consistency to spread.
