• 1 c. Crisco, softened
• 2 c. sugar
• 2 eggs
• 1/4 c. buttermilk or 1/4 c. milk and 1 tbsp. lemon juice
• 1 tsp. soda
• 1/2 tsp. salt
• 4 c. flour

Preparation

Step 1

Combine softened Crisco to sugar and cream together. Add eggs, mix well. Stir in buttermilk and vanilla. Add soda to milk mixture and mix until foamy. Add salt. Stir in flour gradually. Roll out thin, cut and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
