Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 cup sifted flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Topping
  • 1/2 cup nuts, chopped fine
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • Powdered sugar for topping

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Cream butter and sugar until well mixed.
Add eggs one at a time, beat until fluffy.
Add vanilla and mix well.
Combine sifted flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
Combine topping ingredients until well mixed.
Place ½ the batter into a well greased 10 inch tube pan or bundt pan.
Top with half of the topping mix.
Add rest of batter, and then the rest of the topping mixture.
Bake one hour to one hour and 10 mins. Allow to cool 15 mins before removing from pan. Before serving sprinkle with powdered sugar.
This can be made a day ahead and freezes well.
