Ingredients
- 2 lbs lean ground beef
- 1 medium onion - finely chopped
- 2 egg
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp basil,
- 1 1/2 T salad oil
- 2/3 cup slivered almonds
- 2T soy sauce
- 1 131/2 oz can pineapple chunks

Preparation
Step 1
Combine beef, oni9on, eggs, salt , pepper and basil. make 32 meatballs.
Heat oil in fry pan add almonds and brown lightly. Spoon with slated spoon and lay in bottom of
2 1/2 qt casserole.
Put soy sauce in bowl and dip meatballs in soy sauce then sauté them in fry pan oil.
Place them in casserole on top of almonds.
Drain liquid from pineapple into bowl and save.
Put fruit on top of meatballs.
Meatball Glaze:
1 T corn starch
1/2 c packed brown sugar
pineapple juice (saved)
1/2 c wine vinegar
soy sauce if any remains
Pour in fry pan and stir til thick. Pour over meatballs, cover and bake at 350 for 30 minutes.
