Ingredients
- 1 lb ground round
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
- 1/4 cup dry red wine or water
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. ground cumin
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 15-oz. can kidney beans, undrained
- 1 14.5-oz. can Mexican-style stewed tomatoes w/jalapeno peppers and spices, undrained
- 6 Tbsp. reduced fat shredded cheddar cheese

Preparation
Step 1
1. Cook the ground round and drain. Add chopped onion and next 7 ingredients (onion - garlic) and cook for 7 minutes or until onion is tender. Place meat mixture in a crock pot and stir in beans and tomatoes. If tomatoes are in large pieces, cut them into smaller ones. Cover with lid and cook on low for 4 hours. Sprinkle with cheese.
