Ingredients

  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 medium green pepper, chopped
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 1 can ( 14 1/2 oz.) diced tomatoes, drained
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 2/3 cup cooked brown rice

Step 1

1. In a large skillet, cook beef, onions and pepper over medium heat 6-8 minutes or until beef is no longer oink and onion is tender, breaking up beef into crumbles, drain.

2. Stir in tomato sauce, tomatoes and seasonings, bring to a boil. Add rice, heat through, stirring occasionally.
