Ingredients

  • CRUST:
  • 3 pkgs. cream cheese
  • 1 3/4 mile chocolate ships, melted
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 cups chocolate wafer crumbs
  • 5 tbsp. melted butter

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350.

Crust: Mix together the wafers and butter and press into 9" pan, bake 8-12 minutes. Cool

Filling: Combine cheese, sugar 2-3 eggs one at a time. Add melted chocolate (on low speed) 1/2 the sour cream 2 tsp. vanilla. Beat 1-2 minutes. Pour into baked crust. Bake 1 hours 20 minutes or 1 hour 35 minutes until just set 2" from edge.

Topping:
Combine 1/2 sour cream, sugar & vanilla. Pour over hot partially baked cheesecake. Continue baking 5 minutes. Loosen sides with knife to reduce cracking. Let stand uncovered 1-2 hours. Refrigerate 8 hours.

NOTE: 30 minutes at 350, then 300 after topping 5 minutes, turn off oven and leave another 15 minutes.
