Spritz Cookies

Ingredients

• 1 cup butter, softened
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg
• 2 1/2 2 1/2 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 3/4 tsp salt
• colored sugars or sprinkles

Preparation

Step 1

Cream together butter and sugar. Mix in egg and then add flour, baking powder and salt. Put batter in to a cookie press and "spritz" on prepared cookie sheet. Sprinkle with colored sugars before baking.
Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes.
If you don't have a cookie press, you can form batter into balls and press flat with the bottom of a drinking glass before sprinkling with sugar.
