Ingredients
- 4 ripe pears, peeled and chopped into bite size pieces shopping list
- Optional: 1/2 cup pecans, chopped shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1 stick quality baking margarine shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3 large eggs shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 1/4 cup pear liqueur or pear brandy shopping list
- 1/2 cup heavy cream shopping list
- Icing drizzle as desired ( sugar and pear liqueur ) shopping list

I combined a few recipes to bake this lovely pear cake because I bought a bucket of ripe pears on sale. Many people don't think of using pears for cake. Also pears and chocolate make a lovely tasty cake too.

How to make it
Cream butter and sugar fluffy
Beat in eggs and vanilla
Beat dry ingredients into creamed mixture along with cream and pear liqueur
Slowly beat in pear and nuts to blend
Place batter into a greased and floured 10 inch bundt pan
Bake in a preheated 350F oven until tested done with a wooden toothpick about 45- 60 minutes.
