Preparation
Step 1
Wash, peel and pit apricots (broil about 6 minutes as a shortcut) once they are halved and pitted.
SPRINKLE: Pectin evenly of the bottom of the pot, with the stirrer. Add crushed fruit evenly over the pectin.
PRESS Jam button, the cook time will automatically default to 21 minutes. Press ENTER.
WAIT 4 minutes for the appliance to sound 4 short beeps, indicating that it is time to add the sugar. Add the sugar gradually, while stirrer continues running. Place the glass lid on the pot.
The appliance will beep when the jam is done.
In the meantime, prepare the jars in the Ball Fresh Tech Automatic Canning System, which takes about 12 minutes (they will stay hot up until 1 hour). Keep the jars until they are ready to be filled, closing the lid each time.
Place a lid and band on each jar into the auto canner, making sure there is water up to the fill line.
PRESS Jams & Jellies and Recipe 1.
When it beeps, press STOP. Unlock and open lid.
Remove the jars onto a towel lined baking sheet and allow to completely cool (12-24 hours).
