  • 2 1/2 cups cake flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa rouge
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon sugar sprinkles
  • 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp red gel food coloring
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 tsp white vinegar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking soda

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350. Whisk together flour, cocoa, salt, and cinnamon.
In a mixer, beat together oil, sugar, and cinnamon sugar until combined. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and red food color. Mix well.
Add flour mix in 3 parts, alternating with buttermilk. Mix until just combined. Stir together baking soda and vinegar in a small bowl, let foam. Add to batter and mix until combined.
Fill cupcake liners 3/4 full, bake for 18-20 minutes.
Top with cinnamon cream cheese frosting.
