Ingredients

  • 2 Tsp Vegetable Oil
  • -----
  • 1/2 Tsp Minced Ginger
  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Garlic
  • -----
  • 1/2 Cup Soy Sauce
  • 1/2 Cup Water
  • -----
  • 3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
  • -----
  • 1 Pound Steak cut in 1/4 inch strips against the grain
  • 1/4 Cup Corn Starch
  • -----
  • 1 Cup Vegetable Oil
  • 2 Green Onions

Preparation

Step 1

1) Heat 2 Tsp Vegetable Oil in sauce pan over MEDIUM HEAT

2) Add Ginger and Garlic until slightly golden and then add Soy Sauce and Water. Dissolve brown sugar into sauce

3) Boil the sauce over MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT for 3-5 minutes and then remove from heat

4) Slice the steak and coat with Corn Starch and let sit for 10 minutes

5) Heat up a Wok or Skillet with 1 Cup Vegetable Oil over MEDIUM-HIGH HEAT. With a skillet you may need more oil

6) Add beef to oil ensuring it is fully covered and fry for 2 minutes then remove on to paper towel

7) Remove oil, add sauce and return beef and simmer for 2 minutes while stirring and add green onions

8) Cook for 1 more minute and remove to a plate
