Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar
- 1/4 cup cold butter
- 3/4 cups buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 3 chopped green onions
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley or pasley and fresh basil

Preparation
Step 1
Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a large bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender until mixture resembles cornmeal. Add buttermilk, egg and chopped herbs to dry ingredients, and stir until all ingredients are combined.
Turn dough out onto a floured board; and pat into a square, approximately 9 inches square and 1/2-inch thick. Using a long knife slice dough into 12 pieces.
Place on cookie sheet and freeze until solid.
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Remove biscuits from freezer and place 1 inch apart on a baking sheet. Bake for about 12 minutes or until golden. Serve warm.
