Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups fresh unbruised basil leaves, packed
- 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 1/3 cup pine nuts or walnuts
- 3 clove garlic, peeled and smashed with a knife

Step 1
Combine the basil with the garlic and pulse in a food processor or blender. Slowly add the olive oil in a stream while the food processor or blender is on. Stop to scrape down the sides of the container with a spatula as necessary. Add the nuts and pulse or blend again until smooth.
