CARAMELIZED BACON

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
- 2 tsp kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/8 tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup
- 1/2 pound bacon

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to 375°F. Line cookies sheets with foil - huge mess!!
Place wire rack on baking sheet.
Combine all ingredients in food processor and pulse till all crumbs are moist.
Cut bacon strips in 1/2 and put on wire rack. Spread topping on top of bacon. Bake at 375°F for 25- to 30 minutes till caramelized on top - needs to cook thoroughly so it crisps when it cools.
Cool on paper towels and serve at room temperature.
