Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry roasted peanuts
  • 2 Tbsp. lime juice
  • 2 tea. ancho chile powder
  • 1/2 tea. habanero chile powder
  • 1 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  • salt

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250 degrees.

Combine peanuts, sunflower seeds and lime juice. Sprinkle evenly with chile powders. Spread out on baking sheet. Bake 30 minutes (until chile has formed a crust). Remove from oven and sprinkle generously with salt.

Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, toast pumpkin seeds. Spread seeds in skillet and when first one pops, stir constantly until all have popped from flat to round, about 5 minutes.

Mix the peanut mixture and the pumpkin seeds together and let cool.
