SALAMI****Pizza Margherita with Salami

By

03/07/15 - We both liked this a lot. A pizza preparation that we both can enjoy and the only difference is the basil on mine. This should work with any crust and sauce.

SALAMI****Pizza Margherita with Salami 1 Picture

Ingredients

  • 1 Rustic Crust Organic Old World Flat Bread Pizza with sauce (Costco)
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 90 grams Fior' di Latte, diced (don't go over - I did and it dripped over the sides of the pizza in the oven and made a huge mess)
  • 45 grams salami, diced or thinly sliced (I used Salamini original and Calabrese, mixed, thinly sliced)
  • 2 tablespoons grated fresh parmigiano reggiano
  • fresh basil leaves (for my portion only)
  • pinch of hot pepper flakes

Preparation

Step 1

Brush crust lightly with Olive oil and spread evenly with sauce. Sprinkle with a bit of hot pepper flakes and Maldon salt.

Add salami then diced mozzarella, spreading evenly. Top with grated parm and fresh basil leaves for me.

Heat oven to 450. Place pizza directly on rack in pre-heated oven. Immediately reduce heat to 425 and cook for 8 to 12 minutes until golden brown.
