Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter (use 1 1/2 to cups to make the cake less dense)
- 2 cups white sugar
- 6 eggs
- 1 (8-ounce) container sour cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3 tablespoons ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 10-inch tube pan. Sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and white sugar until light adn fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the sour cream and vanilla. Beat in the flour mixture until well blended.
Pour half the batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon, sugar and nuts. Pour in remaining batter.
Bake in the prepared oven for 90 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the cake comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out into a wire rack and cool completely.
